Wrestling

The Socastee Braves Wrestling team is anxiously awaiting the 2011-2012 wrestling season. Many of our wrestlers have spent much of their summer on the mat and in the weight room. Five of our wrestlers competed at the national level during the off-season, and the coaching staff feels more prepared going into this year's wrestling season than we have in recent history. Our team will consist of two returning state qualifiers, Craig Burton and Cameron Amann, and eleven Carolina Invitational qualifiers. Additionally, we have a group of eleven Carolina Invitational qualifiers. Additionally, we have a group of experienced middle school wrestlers moving up to the High School, which will help to round out our team.
Our full schedule is proof that wrestling is growing in the area and we are excited about the opponents that we will face at the local and state level. We hope to see big crowds at our upcoming matches as they are sure to be highly competitive and action packed.
