Hello! My name is Jessica Carfolite, and am excited to join the Special Education Department as a paraprofessional this school year.

My name is Lindsay DeFord, and I am excited to be joining Socastee High School as the new Administrative Dean. I am originally from Spartanburg County, South Carolina, and moved to Horry County in 2010 to attend Coastal Carolina University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Special Education. I later earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University as well.

I am originally from Catawba, North Carolina. I recently graduated from Coastal Carolina University in May 2025 with a degree in Physical Education. 1 have always had a passion for health, fitness and athletics, and l am excited to share that passion with my students as a Physical Education teacher at Socastee High School

Originally from Cheraw, SC, 1 am a second-generation agricultural educator and one of four agriculture teachers in my family. attended the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, NC, where I majored in Agricultural Education.

I've been teaching high school English for 19 years, working with 9th and 10th graders across all levels-from collaborative to honors. I love helping students discover the power of thoughtful reading, clear writing, and finding their own voice, whether they're building foundational skills or diving into challenging literature

I have 30 years of teaching experience...Since December 2023, I have been teaching Spanish 1 and sponsor the Spanish National Honor Society at Carolina Forest High School. I have experience teaching Spanish 1-4, Heritage Spanish 1 & 2, and AP Spanish Language and Culture.

Hi everyone! My name is Shelly Becker, and I'm excited to be joining Socastee High School as the Secretary in the Guidance office.

I bring 15 years of experience as an Executive Assistant and look forward to supporting students, staff, and families while helping keep things running smoothly in the Guidance office.
