Information on Homecomecoming Events this Weekend
Good morning Parents and Guardians,
We are enjoying a fun week of homecoming dress-up days and look forward to finishing the week with the traditional pep rally, parade, and homecoming dance.
Event details
- Date: Friday, October 24, 2025
- Pep Rally (stadium): 2:10 p.m.2:10 p.m. – 2:50 p.m.2:50 p.m.
- Parade: 2:55 p.m.2:55 p.m. – 3:10 p.m.3:10 p.m.
Because of the new rubberized track and turf field, the parade will follow a new route. Student Council has planned a route so we can continue the tradition of floats and recognitions for homecoming candidates, marching band, Socastee Singers, Bravettes, AFJROTC, and others. A map with the route is available (highlighted areas referenced is attached to the email sent to all Brave families).
Parade lineup & route
- Lineup locations: frontage road (highlighted in yellow) OR the parking lot across from the tennis courts (highlighted in green).
- A Student Council representative will be on site to place groups in the correct order.
- When the parade begins, follow the yellow highlighted route on the map.
- All students will exit the stadium and line the parade route shown in purple.
- Floats: after completing the route, please drop off floats at the grassy area highlighted in blue.
After the parade / parking
- Everyone involved in the parade should either drive out of the student parking lot and leave campus or pull into the student parking lot and park in a marked space.
- Please park in a proper space — we will begin dismissing students immediately after the parade and need participant vehicles out of the way.
Early dismissal
- If a student needs to be dismissed early on Friday, email Mrs. Ashley Hildebrandt at AHildebrandt@horrycountyschools.net by noon on Friday.
- Once the pep rally begins at 2:10 p.m.2:10 p.m., we will not be able to dismiss students until it ends. Thank you for your understanding.
Guests & parking instructions
- Parents and guardians are invited to attend the pep rally and parade. Please plan to park in the student parking lot.
- Parents/guardians who normally line up early in the traffic loop will NOT be allowed into the loop until the parade concludes.
- If you arrive early and need to park on the frontage road, pull completely off the pavement and park in the grass on the right side of the frontage road closest to Hwy 707. Our security officer will be available to assist with parking.
Traffic reminder With homecoming activities, afternoon traffic will be heavier and take longer than usual. We appreciate your patience as we celebrate with our students.
Thank you for your support of Socastee High School.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Rich
